A close look into the Fashion Style of Designer Shahida Parides

With the belief that “Fashion style should be a diverse mix of patterns, colors, materials and layers – coming together in a way that tells a story”; designer Shahida Parides tells that story through her bold and colorful designs.
How did you start in the industry?
I Started in the industry 8 years ago by doing private label designing and manufacturing from start – finished product for major U.S brands, boutiques and for specialty clothing stores world wide such as – Australia, Europe and Middle east
What do you like best about designing clothes?
Feeling the textures of the fabrics, Creating Prints and styling silhouettes very modern and western with strong ethnic elements from around the world.
How would you define your personal style?
Bohemian, Simple yet Chic.
How would you define the style your line exemplifies?
Glamorous, Modern and Casual- meant to be worn Dust to Dawn.
What are some of your fashion goals?
In the future, I inspired view of clothing design and creation that includes utilizing more natural dyes, organic fabrics—and hand-crafting techniques instead of machines. Also hopes to incorporate more modern artistic effects into designs such as digital prints, which reflect a three-dimensional effect on fabrics.
Where do you get your inspiration?
I get my inspiration from craftsman’s from around the world, Nature and the local artists.
What are your favorite fabrics to work with?
I use finest silks, chiffons, sheer to Eco friendly viscose and cotton fabrics.
If you could name your favorite fashion era; what would it be and why?
Do you consider yourself an artist?
I consider myself fashion and style creator & Enterpereuner.
What are the new trends?
60’s and 70’s
What do you like doing in your free time?
Spent time with my husband and son, Traveling, Hiking, Biking, Skiing and Reading
