Fashion Week San Diego™ Spring Showcase
April 26thFashion Week San Diego® 2014 is holding its 1st Annual FWSD Spring Showcase at the fabulous Harrah’s Resort Southern California on April 26th from 5pm to 9pm. This exciting evening will feature a designer sample sale, live music performances, mini-makeovers, a hair blow out bar, interactive painting, champagne and cupcakes; All while introducing out 2014 Designers in an exclusive runway show!
Fashion Week San Diego® will introduce our 2014 Designers with a Runway Show, featuring 1 look from each of their collections that will debut at the big October Show. Guests will sip on a cocktail, or two, while enjoying this exclusive sneak peek! Attendees will also shop through our Sample Sale booths, where our designers will sell their previous collections at discounted rates of 50-75% off. Along with other scrumptious goodies, Champagne and Cupcakes will be available during the Spring Showcase, at Harrah’s Fabulous Wine Bar Corked! Guests can grab some bubbles in-between shopping, runway shows and performances.
Complimentary mini-makeovers and hair blowouts will be available to our guests to primp and prep themselves throughout the evening. Once they have received their new glam look, they can head over to head over to The Foto Box for their own photo shoot! With a personalized FWSD backdrop and an assortment of fun props, this will be the perfect party favor to capture the excitement of the event!
Spring Showcase guests can become a style muse in our Fashion Sketch area, where they will take home a unique fashion illustration of themselves! While guests strike their best pose, an artist will quickly draw an illustration in a fashion illustration style as seen on the pages of Vogue. From the art inspiration to the art creator, the crowd will love our interactive painting area where attendees have a chance to produce a work of art! Collaborating with FWSD™ artists, guests can walk up, take a brush, and paint on canvas. The finished piece will be displayed in our upcoming October Fashion Week event!
On our Spring Showcase stage, Live entertainment group, Launch Live Art, as featured at Downtown Disney and various entertainment venues worldwide, will preform the ULTIMATE high-energy art experience! Combining art, music, and dance, artists will complete an entire painting from start to finish, in MINUTES!
FWSD’s Spring Showcase also welcomes emerging singer and songwriter, Aquile, to the stage! The San Diego native’s musical talents were most recently recognized on NBC’s The Voice, earning himself a spot on Christina Aguilera’s team and praise from the celebrity judges! “Hands down, I was drawn to your voice from the second I heard it,” said Aguilera. We have a feeling that the audience will agree. From his smooth voice to his charming looks, Aquile will make the crowd swoon.
From Fashion to Food to Shopping to Makeup to Art or Music, guests will find it all at FWSD’s first ever Spring Showcase!
Fashion Week San Diego™ is a collaborative entertainment fashion event to celebrate emerging designers by showcasing and highlighting the pulse of these entrepreneurs and what they are creating. Fashion Week San Diego™ is pleased to give these emerging fashion designers a platform to launch their careers. Spring Showcase Tickets are $60 for VIP and $30 for General Admission, and can be purchased through Harrah’s at the door. Weekly pass holders will receive admission into the Spring Showcase for free.
